The “Drops of Life” Presentation

Entertaining and Engaging:

How do you communicate the story of life-giving water with a sense of honesty and urgency, including all the facts and figures, and still make it entertaining and inspirational? The answer for Dr. Mike Magee, the veteran health leader and broadcaster, was to team up with the Duarte Group – the original creative partner for Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth”. The result is equally dramatic, taking a complex topic, and translating it into a compelling story filled with motion, color and sound, drawing the audience in, and moving them to action. “Drops of Life” is visually stunning and leaves an indelible mark, not easily erased.

A Premier Educational Experience:

An overview of water policy positions today’s environmental issues for what they are – the premier health issues of the day.  Developed with input from  the UN, WHO and EPA, this multimedia presentation places water in its proper context, as our planet’s most valued and threatened resource. The interaction between water and agriculture, industry, urbanization, population growth, war, disasters and disease points to the need for Integrated Water Resource Management, and personal and societal responsibility.

Reviews:

Water Advocate: “Dr. Mike Magee’s one hour presentation kept everyone riveted and many people came up to me and said he should be a keynote speaker at WEFTEC. I agree.”

Physician Leader:  “What an eye-opener. It’s hard to believe that as a doctor the issue of water never surfaced before this. The entire presentation was fascinating. It made me really think about the role of a physician in the 21st-century.”

College Educator: “I’ve never had my students respond to a public health presentation the way they responded to this. You could hear a pin drop during the entire hour and the feedback was incredibly positive.”

Water Engineer:  “I was just at the WEFTEC conference in Atlanta. Dr. Magee was a keynote speaker. He humbly stated that, as a form of surgeon, he knew little about water. He then dazzled 1000 water professionals with facts.”
